IS IT JUST ME?????

Maybe it's me that is over the top! Perhaps this doesn't bother you at all, BUTTTTTTT--------
One of my "Pet Peeves" in life is-
You see someone you are fond of and, in the great Southern tradition, you move together for a hug. A warm and sweet greeting-time honored tradition among all of us Southerners. I do not go around hugging everyone whose path I cross-but it is a standard greeting for many of my friends and family. "It is so good to see you, I've missed you", or any of a number of standard greetings for those that we meet. You don't linger over that hug-it is just a quick grab and squeeze and then back into your own space. BUT WAIT-as you move away you notice a sweet or strong smell. You move on-away from your hugee-and still the smell follows you. You get in your car-still THE SMELL. The scent or smell has become attached to your clothing and now you are wearing the scent the hugee wore for the rest of the time that you have on that clothing. When you wear SO MUCH cologne, perfume, after-shave, or whatever, that it not only saturates the air surrounding you, but transfers to anyone that comes into contact with you-PERHAPS?????you have gone over the top?????? Or maybe it is just me. What say ye? Does it bother you to have to wash your clothing or send it to the cleaners because you have hugged someone who has dipped themselves in a vat of smellum? Call me rude or call me right-just let me know!

Pepe le Pew-Oh my sweet darling, let me surround you with the scent of my love for you!

If it is ever me, I would want to know. Now I'm going to be self-conscious putting my perfume on in the morning. lol

Ew, it bothers me and can make me a little nauseous. Although I did bathe in the perfume during my high school years....

I admit, I do love my perfume. I really don't think mine is offensive (that's what they all say!!).

well it hasn't been me of late. so do you think they smell themselves or do you think they have to smell themselves before it is enough. I do not know but I wish everyone would wear beautiful. Then we would all smell the same. Love those hugs -keep em up. Helen

Yes, it is just you because I got a hug Sunday from someone and I got in my car smelling the hugger like you said. I found that person the next day and got another hug just because I like that person and their cologne. No more hugs for you. I'll just hug Bobby. (if he will still hug me after this week)
