IT'S ALL ABOUT THE NAME!

Mr. Hammons, the cabinet maker, is here putting in my butler's pantry. He is quite the craftsman and is very meticulous about his work. When Camille called at lunch and I told her that I was watching the butler's pantry being installed, she asked when I was getting my butler. I replied that would be a very nice Mother's Day present! Do you think when I say I am putting in a butler's pantry that sounds a little "Uppity" ? The pantry is actually my old utility closet revamped into a place to serve tea & coffee and store my table linens, glasses, & serving pieces. I think I am going to love it!

Church -pre-decorating-My serious friends, MOB-Mona & Babs

I am busy working on Amy's wedding. I spent the morning ironing table clothes. I am not sure what they charge at the cleaners, but it is worth EVERY penny! I then went and picked out the flowers that I will pick up tomorrow afternoon to make the arrangements. I have been rubbing paint on crystal sticks, painting my plant stands and garden table, and doing various other preliminary things. The push begins tomorrow. We will be going to the church to begin the decorations there, finish those Friday AM and then go to the reception site to do it. The final flower arranging and placing will take place Friday night and Saturday AM. Hopefully by 2 PM Saturday, when the bride walks down the aisle, it will all be transformed.

I ran 5 miles this AM. Susan & Mel were with me until about mile 2 1/2 when they took a short cut back. It was hot and I got really slow after they turned around. Babs needs to hurry up and come back-or I will be finishing up about the time I need to start the next day's activities. Our token male, Larry, did not show. It seems he was up late-says he was working! Don't think I will get another run in this week. Too much to do and too little time to do it in!
