I am always amazed at the random pattern my thoughts can take. I started the day greeting before church. BC has convinced me to go without my wig, but this brings comments. The Worship Leader made this comment, "Well, it is sooo freeing." He is right! The hours I spent washing, conditioning, applying product, blow-drying, spraying, etc etc. have all disappeared since my new haircut 4 weeks ago. I owe Lisa a huge "Thank You". What started as a show of support for our friend has had an interesting twist. I have been set free from the slavery we girls face to our "Do's". This is a good thing-A VERY GOOD THING!
Larry came by tonight for a trim. NOW GIRLS- isn't he handsome? All of us runners have told him how great it looks. For all of you single women out there-Larry is unattached and a great guy. I am not sure how you all have let him slip through the cracks and not snagged on to him a LONG TIME AGO!
Every Sunday on the way home from church, BC makes this statement, "I have got to get home and take this girdle off." It seems his Mother made that statement every Sunday or anytime they were out and dressed up on their way home. He always chuckles when he makes the statement. This began my stream of thought about our freedom from those horrible contraptions-GIRDLES!
To quote a Famous American, Truvy Jones, Truvy: Well, these thighs haven't gone out of the house without lycra on them sice I was 14.

Growing up during the 50's & 60's that is the way it was. I seem to remember that your hose had to have something to hold them up and that was part of the solution. GIRLS-THERE WAS NO SUCH THING AS PANTY HOSE! Now amazing as this is, I have seen us go from girdles to hold up those hose, to panty hose, and now all the way to bare legs. I believe you actually can still buy girdles, but I do not know anyone who wears one. I cannot begin to explain to you how uncomfortable those torture chambers were. It is a very good thing that we have been freed from that burden. Keep on doing those crunches and leg lifts and forget EVER going the route of the girdle.
YES INDEED GIRLS-WE HAVE BEEN FREED!
THANK GOD ALMIGHTY-WE ARE FREE AT LAST!

Too funny!! I CANNOT stand to have anything touch me - thank goodness girldes are no longer worn!! BTW, I love that picture of you. You look beautiful! I like your hair - I don't think you should color it. Only 20 minutes to get ready? That's great.
I like the silver, too. Don't color!
My grandmother still wears a girdle. She would even wear it when she went fishing!

That's great! Thanks for stopping by! I'll check back in.
God Bless and keep that head free! Looks beautiful.
Just remember that real freedom is a state of mind...not a state of thighs.
I wish hair would just go to solid white over night and just skip the gray stage. I love to see pretty white hair...and I don't think anyone in my family ever gets to white..it is just a nasty gray color. Your hair is nice silver color.
i love silver!! by the way, i am sure you have never heard of them, but the modern day girdle is nothing short of a miracle--spanx! it's like the top of control top panty hose, but they don't roll up! the girl who invented them is probably in line for a nobel prize!!
I like the super short cut on you. I would go with it and save the extra time in the a.m. for sleeping.
