Today's run had a goal of running the entire five miles in an hour or less with NO walking. I am pleased to report I did indeed run the entire 5 miles-but hitting the goal on the head at one hour exactly. The sad news is that there was a time that I could WALK a 12 minute miles! OK-One step at a time----FOR NOW- I will not worry about speed-just keeping going and putting one foot in front of the other one. MY MANTRA:
ALL FORWARD MOTION COUNTS!!!
Note the lovely temperature at the end of our run. It was the same when we started-but at least it was dark.
It becomes daylight very quickly after we get going and by the time we get back to our cars, here is the view of the sunrise. Quiet beautiful!
My report for today-PAIN-beginning in the feet and moving up to the hips! WHAT FUN!

Prevention magazine once wrote to lose weight....walk one mile in 11 mins....very tough!
Remember the heat! This time of year is always the toughest. Glad I slept in.
