I seem to have caused quite a stir yesterday. It is the time of year to trim your crepe myrtles (SCOTT--HINT HINT). I decided to trim the trees at BC's office, because I wanted them trimmed correctly. When BC and I trimmed the trees last year, there were 2 trees that were so tall that we could not trim all of the branches that desperately needed it. This means that this year those same branches are even higher. The ladder and uneven ground just would not get the trick done. I could not get the truck close enough to stand on it. I did the next logical thing---I climbed up in the trees and cut those last few branches. It seems to have caused an uproar. It's not like I was out on those limbs while trimming them. Perhaps the stir was over the gray head up the tree with her clippers in the middle of downtown. GEEEZZZ---I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING!

I was told by an ag government fellow in Ruston that you are supposed to prune crepe myrtles after the final freeze (but he didn't tell me how to know which was the last one!).
You could have stood on Bobby's shoulders, if he would stand for that. And you wouldn't have had to worry about getting sawdust in his hair.
I would have wrecked if I'd been driving by!
